Hello Gasbusters,

2023 has been a year in which the shift away from gas-powered leaf blowers and related garden equipment has gained momentum in July, Toronto City Council voted to consider steps to pursue a ban of all two-stroke engine-powered small equipment.  During the summer and Fall months, as part of its Noise Bylaw Review, Municipal Licensing and Standards (MLS) heard arguments from residents to impose limits on operation of a wide range of devices and processes.  Gas-powered leaf blowers were mentioned frequently as culprits of disturbing the peace. 

Gasbusters has been a persistent voice in arguing for a ban on such equipment, and we want to close this year with a message to all of you to enjoy our successes to date, and to have a happy and restful time over the holidays.  As the song says, "It's the most wonderful time of the year"...without leaf blowers!
